a rectangular plot of land is 50 m wide .The cost of fencing the plot at the rate of rs18 per meter is rs 4680.Find the length of the plot.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

Rate of fencing per meter = 18 rs
And cost of fencing= 4680 rs
So perimeter of rectangle
i.e., fencing required= 4680/18
=260
i.e., 260= 2(l+b)
260/2 = l+50
130-50=l
So l= 80m
