Width of the rectangular plot = 50 m

Cost of fencing = Rs. 18 per meter.

Total fencing cost = Rs. 4680

Let the length be = x m

Since it is a fencing it will be around the rectangular plot hence we will be calculating the perimeter.

Perimeter of the rectangular plot = 2(L+B) = 2(x+50) ----------(1)

Perimeter of the rectangular plot = (Total cost) / (cost per meter)

= 4680/18 = 260 m -------(2)

Equating (1) and (2)

2(x+50) = 260

x + 50 = 130

x = 130 - 50

x = 80

So length of the rectangular plot = 80 m

dishakeshri123pd99vy: it is wrong
inhumandrowsey: Its not, not even aryabhatta can say this is wrong.

ANSWER
========

GIVEN
----------

Width of the the rectangular plot = 50m

Cost of fencing per metre = ₹ 18

Total cost of fencing = ₹ 4680

SOLUTION
-----------------

Therefore ,

Distance covered in fencing =

=> 4680/18

=> 260 m

Perimeter of the rectangular plot =

=> Length + Breadth + Length + Breadth

=> 2 ( Length + Breadth )

Perimeter = 260 m ( solved above )

260 = 2 ( Lenght ( L ) + 50 )

=> 260 = 2L + 100

=> 2L = 260 - 100

=> 2L = 160

=> L = 160/2

=> Lenght = 80 m

ANS. The Lenght of the rectangular plot is 80 m .
