A rectangular plot of land measures 95 m by 72 m.lnside the plot ,a path of uniform width 3.5 m is to be constructed all around. The rest of plot is to be laid with grass. Find the total expense involved in constucting the path at ₹46.50 per m^2 and laying the grass at ₹3.75 per m^2

Therefore area A1=95x72
A=6840 Sq.m
width of the path tobe construct =3.5m
therfore length of the plot =95-(3.5+3.5)=88m
breadth of the plot =72-(3.5+3.5)=65m
therefore area of the second rectangular plot A2=88x65
A2=5720sq.m
area of the path =6840 -5720=1120sq.m
therefore cost of construction at the rate of Rs46.50 per Sq.m=1120x46.50=Rs.52,080
cost of laying the grass at the rate of Rs.3.75 per Sq.m=5720 x3.75
=Rs.21,450
Total expenditure =52,080 +21,450
=73,530
