A rectangular prism has a volume of 840 cubic inches. the height of the Prism is 6 inches and the width is 10 inches find the length of the Prism and explain how you found it.

first of all, prism is not only of one shape.

prism is a polyhedron with two polygonal faces lying in parallel lines and other faces are parallelogram.

a cube is also a prism and cuboid too.. we think that triangular prism is only prism. but no..

here we are talking about rectangular prism and a rectangular prism is a cuboid.

given :-

height = 6 in

breadth (width) = 10 in

length = ?

we know the formula for the volume of a cuboid that is "l × b × h"

therefore l × b × h = 840 in³

➡ l × 6 × 10 = 840 in³

➡ l × 60 = 840 in³

➡ l = 840/60

➡ l = 14 in

thus the length of the rectangular prism is 14 inches.
