A rectangular room is 10 m long and 8 m broad. Carpet is to be laid in this room. What will be the total cost of laying carpet at the rate of Rs. 2 per m square?​

breadth of room = 7.5m

Area of floor =10×7.5=75m

width of carpet = 1.25m

Now, Area of floor = Area of carpet

10×7.5=1.25× length of carpet

length of carpet =

1.25

10×7.5

=60m

Cost per meter = 250Rs

Total cost = Length of carpet × cost per meter

=60×250

=Rs 15000
