I think the area of verandah is 12x3=36sq.m

ur answer is here:
To find it first we have to find area of room=lxb
as room is in rectangle.
=lxb
=12x12m^2
=144n^2
Now,as the verandah is around it so,
12+3
=15
so,lxb=15x15
=225
so the area of verandah is 225-144
=81m^2
