Step-by-step explanation:

dimensions of the room:- length = 40m, breadth=25m Area of a rectangle = l×b = 40×25=1000m Dimensions of each tile :- 50cm×70cm = 3500cm = 35m no.of tiles required for the room = 1000÷35 = 28.571 =29 tiles

1000 tiles are required .

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of rectangular room = 40 m

Breadth of rectangular room = 25 m

We are given that There is a road 2.5 m wide all around it.

Outer length = 40+(2.5+2.5)=45 m

Outer breadth = 25+(2.5+2.5)=30 m

Area of road = Outer area - Inner area

Area of road =(45 \times 30)-(40 \times 25)

Area of road =350 m^2

Length of tile = 50 cm = 0.5 m

Breadth of tile = 70 = 0.7 m

Area of tile = 0.5 \times 0.7=0.35 m^2

No. of tiles required =\frac{350}{0.35}=1000

Hence 1000 tiles are required .
