A rectangular room is of length=10m breadth=6m and height=3m.the four walls and the roof have to be painted.If the cost of painting is R.s 75 per sqm .what will be the total cost .The area of the window and doors is 6sqm which are not to be painted

=Curved surface area of cuboid+l×b-2(area of window)

=2lb+2lh+lb-2(6)

=2×10×6+2×10×3+10×6-2×6

=120+60+60-12

Cost of 1m^2=Rs75

Cost of 228m^2=75×228

=Rs17100

Area to painted = area of four walls + area of roof

= 2h(l+b) + lb

= 2*3(10+6)+10*6

= 6(16)+60

= 96+60

= 156m^2

the area of window & doors = 6m^2

the cost of painting the walls & roof = 150*75

= Rs 11250
