a rectangular room of size 5m × 3m is to be carpeted with a carpet 5dm wide, find the length of the carpet required. if carpet costs ₹350 per metre square. find the total cost of the carpet.​

First we find area of floor 5×3=15m^2

Now carpet length= 0.5m(5dm=0.5m)

Its area = lb = 0.5l = 15

L=15÷0.5=30m^2

Cost= area×cost per metre = 15× 350 = 5250
