let length and breadth of ABCD be 30m and 20m and ATQ there is a path 8m wide along its breadth and 5m wide along its length so let the outer rec formed be EFGH so length and breadth of EFGH will be 46m (30+8+8) and 30m (20+5+5)

ar(path) = (46×30) - (20×30) [ar = l×b]

= 780 m^2
