A rectangular sheet is 45cm long and 25cm Broad.From each corner of a square of side 5cm is cut off.An open Box is made of the remaining sheet by folding up the flap.

Answer:

Area of the rectangular sheet=l*b

L=45

B=25

=45*25

=1125 square cm

We have to find the each area of the square to be cut =5*5

=25square cm

25square cm is cut in each corner=4*25

=100 square cm is cut off

Reminding =1125-100

=1025square cm is remaining

With this remaining we are going to make a cube

Tsa = 6a square cm

1025=6a square

a square=1025/6

a=√170.8

a=13.06

Volume of the cube =a cubic cm

=13.06*13.06*13.06

=2227.560616 cubic cm

Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

Area = 45 × 25

Area = 1125 cm²

Area of Square = Side × Side

Area = 5 × 5

Area = 25 cm²

A square is cut from each corner

Area = 4 × 25

Area = 100 cm²

Remaining Area = 1125 - 100

Area = 1025 cm²

This will be the Surface Area of the Cube

Surface Area = 6 × side²

1025 = 6 × side²

side² = 1025 / 6

side² = 170.84

side = 13.07 cm

Volume Of Cube

Volume = side³

Volume = ( 13.07 )³

Volume = 2232.681 cm³
