As the length is rolled along so the radius =88/2=44cm
height=45cm
so we know that CSA of a cylinder is 2πrh
so the CSA= 2×22/7×44×45=12440.70

hope this will help :)

Given:

Length of sheet=88cm

The breadth of sheet=45cm

To find:

The curved surface area of the cylinder

Solution:

The required area is 3960 cm^{2}.

The sheet is rolled along the length and so the sheet's length becomes the cylinder's height.

The sheet's breadth becomes the base's circumference.

Let the cylinder's radius be R.

Height, H=88cm

The cylinder's base's circumference=2πR

45=2πR

45/2π=R

The curved surface's area=2πRH

=2π(45/2π)×88

=45×88

=3960 cm^{2}

Therefore, the required area is 3960 cm^{2}.
