A rectangular sheet of paper, 44cm*12cm, is rolled along its length and a cylinder is formed. Find the volume of the cylinder.

length= 44cm and width= 12cm
after rolled along its length
length will be perimeter of circle and width will be height of cylinder.
so, perimeter of rectangular sheet of paper=2(l+b)
=2×(44+12)
=2×56
=112cm
therefore, radius of circle of cylinder= perimeter of circle/2π
=44/2π
=7cm

now, volume of cylinder= πr^2h
=22×7×7×12/7
=1848 cm^2 answer

Given length = 44 cm and breadth = 12cm.

the circumference of the base of a cylinder(2pir) = 44

2 * 22/7 * r = 44

r = (44 * 4)/(22 * 2)

   = 7cm.

the volume of the cylinder = pir^2h

                                             = 22/7 * 7 * 7 * 12

                                             = 1848 cm^3.
