Answer : 1188 cm²

Solution :
_________

Given that : A rectangular sheet of paper 44cm×20cm is rolled along its length.

Then, the circumference of the base of cylinder is equal to the length of rectangular sheet.

Now, according to the question :

2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times r = 44 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: (where \: r \:  = radius \: of \: the \: base \: of \: the \: cylinder )\\  \\  =  > r =  \frac{44 \times 7}{22 \times 2}  \\  \\  =  > r = 7 \: cm

And the height of the cylinder will be the breadth of rectanglular sheet.

So, the height of the cylinder = 20 cm

Now, Total Surface Area of cylinder : 2πr(r+h)

2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 7 \times (7 + 20) \\  \\  =  > 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 7 \times 27 \\  \\  =  > 1188 \:  { cm}^{2}

Thus, the total surface area of cylinder will be 1188 cm²

Answer:

Answer : 1188 cm²

Solution :

_________

Given that : A rectangular sheet of paper 44cm×20cm is rolled along its length.

Then, the circumference of the base of cylinder is equal to the length of rectangular sheet.

Now, according to the question :

\begin{gathered}2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times r = 44 \: \: \: \: \: \: (where \: r \: = radius \: of \: the \: base \: of \: the \: cylinder )\\ \\ = > r = \frac{44 \times 7}{22 \times 2} \\ \\ = > r = 7 \: cm\end{gathered}2×722×r=44(wherer=radiusofthebaseofthecylinder)=>r=22×244×7=>r=7cm

And the height of the cylinder will be the breadth of rectanglular sheet.

So, the height of the cylinder = 20 cm

Now, Total Surface Area of cylinder : 2πr(r+h)

\begin{gathered}2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 7 \times (7 + 20) \\ \\ = > 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 7 \times 27 \\ \\ = > 1188 \: { cm}^{2} \end{gathered}2×722×7×(7+20)=>2×722×7×27=>1188cm2

Thus, the total surface area of cylinder will be 1188 cm²
