Breadth b of Rectangular sheet = 10 cm

If it is fold along its length to form cylinder.

Then, the breadth of Rectangular sheet is height of cylinder.

Height h of cylinder = 10 cm

The length of rectangular sheet is circumference of the base.

Circumference of base = 22 cm

$2\pi r \: = 22$

$r = \frac{22}{2\pi}$


$r = \frac{11}{\pi} \: cm$



Volume of cylinder :

$= \pi {r}^{2} h$


$= \pi \times \frac{11}{\pi} \times \frac{11}{\pi} \times 10$

$\pi \: \: cancel \: \: out$

Putting the value of $/pi$

$= 11\times \frac{11}{ \frac{22}{7} } \times 10$


$= 11 \times 11 \times \frac{7}{22} \times 10$


$=11 \times \frac{7}{2} \times 10$


$= 11 \times 7 \times 5$
