A rectangular sheet of paper is 44cm long and 20 cm wide. it is rolled along its length so that the breadths are in contact with each other. find the volume of the cylinder so formed.

hey mate....
by folding the rectangular sheet we get a cylinder of
length = 20cm
and circumference = 44cm = 2pie r
44 = 2×22/7 r
44 = 44/7 r
r = 7cm

now volume of cylinder =
$\pi {r}^{2} h \\ = 22 \div 7 \times {7}^{2} \times 20 \\ = 22 \times 7 \times 20 \\ = 3080 \: {cm}^{3}$
