A rectangular strip long 25cm .width7cm.is rotated about side. Find the area of cylinder and volume.

Length of rectangular Paper = 25 cm

Breadth of rectangular paper = 7 cm


Length of Rectangular Paper = Circumference of cylinder = 25 cm


Circumference = 25

2πR = 25

2 × 22/7 × R = 25


R = 25×7/44

R = 3.97 cm


And,


Breadth of Rectangular Paper = Height of cylinder = 7 cm


Therefore,


Volume of resulting cylinder = πR²H => 22/7 × 3.97 × 3.97 × 7


=> 22 × 3.97 × 3.97


=> 346.73 cm².



And,


CSA of cylinder = 2πRH => 2 × 22/7 × 3.97 × 7 = 44 × 3.97


=> 173.36 cm².
