Correct Question:-

A rectangular swimming pool 30m long, 20m wide and 1.5m deep is to be tiled. If each tile is 50cm×50cm, so find how many tiles will be required?

________________________________

Given:-

  • Length of the rectangular pool= 30m
  • Breadth of the rectangular pool= 20m
  • Height of the rectangular pool= 1.5m

To Find:-

  • How many tiles will be required to cover the whole pool.

Solution:-

⟼ Length of swimming pool:- 30m

⟼ Breadth of swimming pool:- 20m

⟼ Height of swimming pool:- 1.5m

Area to be filled:- Curved surface area + Area of floor.

2H(l+b)+lb

2×1.5(30+20)+30×20

3(50)+600

750 m²

750×100×100

7500000 cm²

Area of tiles:- 50×50= 2500 cm²

No. of tiles needed = Total area ÷ Area of tiles

7500000÷2500

3000

________________________________

So number of tiles of required are 3000.
