Answer:

512m²

Step-by-step explanation:

length of inner rectangle:25m

breadth of inner rectangle:18m

area:l*b

:(25*18)m²

:450m²

length of outer rectangle:(25+6+6)m=37m

breadth of outer rectangle:(18+4+4)m=26m

therefore,area : (37*26)m²=962m²

are of the path=area of outer rectangle- area of inner rectangle=(962-450)m²=512m²(ans)

Given :-

Length of swimming pool = 25m

Width of swimmimg pool = 18 m

length of path = 4 m

width of path = 6 m

To Find :-

The area of the path

Theory :-

Since the given set-up forms two rectangles, therefore, they can be called larger and smaller rectangles respectively.

The area of the path can be obtained by subtracting the area of smaller rectangle by area of larger rectangle.

Solution :-

Area of smaller rectangle = L × B

= 25m × 18 m

= 450 m

length of larger rectangle = 25m + 6m + 6m = 37m

Width of larger rectangle = 18m + 4m + 4m = 26m

Area of larger rectangle = 37m ×26m

= 962 m

Area of path = Area of larger rectangle - Area of smaller rectangle

= 962 m - 450 m

= 512 m²

Required answer = 512m²
