A rectangular table cloth measure 70 cm by 50 cm. When spread onthe table, it leaves a margin of 5 cm all around. Find the area of the table not covered by the cloth (margin)​

Leaving 5 Cm on all sides then we have to add 10cm(5cm+5cm) to find the area of the table then subtracted from the area of the table cloth.

Area = L × b

= 80[ 70 + 10 ] × 60[ 50 + 10 ]

= 48000 Cm²

Area of Table Cloth = L × b

= 70 × 50

= 3500 Cm²

Area of Margin = 4800 Cm² - 3500 Cm²

= 1300 Cm²
