a rectangular tank, 25 CM long and 20 CM wide, contains water to a depth of 12 cm. If 3 litre of water is added into the tank, what will the height of the new water level be

{1liter = 1000 ml = 1000 cm³}

initial volume of tank= Length*width*depth

= 25*20*12 = 6000 cm³

now after adding 3 liter(or 3000 cm³) water to it final volume will become = 6000+3000 = 9000 cm³

Now let us say the height of new water level is "H"

so volume of tank will be length*width*new height = 9000

25*20*H = 9000

H = 9000/(25*20)

= 9000/500

= 18 cm

so new water level = 18 cm.
