A rectangular tank, 5m long, 4m wide and 2m deep, contains water to a depth of 1.5m. the water in the tank is run off into an empty tank 4m long and 3m wide. what will be the depth of the water in the second tank?

intial volume of water is = 5×4×1.5=30 m^3
same amount of water is to flowed in 2nd tank
so the volume will be same
let the height upto which 2nd tank will be filled is X then

30=4×3×X
X=2.3333.....m
