A rectangular tank 8m long,7m wide and 5 m high,contains water to a depth of 3m.How much more water can it hold?

volume of the tank
= 8 x 7 x 5
= 280 m^3

volume of water in the tank
= 8 x 7 x 3
= 168 m^3

extra volume of water it can hold
= 280 - 168
= 112 m^3
