Answer :

  • Height is 1m

Given :

  • A rectangular tank can contain 12000 litres of water
  • It has length 6 metres ans breadth 2 metres

To find :

  • Height

Solution :

Given

  • length is 6m
  • Breadth is 2 m

A rectangular tank can contain 12000 litres of water

  • 1000 litres = 1m³

We know that

  • Volume of cuboid = l × b × h

Where,

  • l is length
  • b is breadth
  • Volume of cuboid is 12

↬ Volume of cuboid = length × breadth × height

↬ 12 = 6 × 2 × h

↬ 12 = 12 × h

↬ h = 12/12

↬ h = 1m

Hence,

The height is 1m

Verification :

↬ Volume of cuboid = l × b × h

↬ 12 = 6 × 2 × 1

12 = 12
