A rectangular tank is 50 cm wide and 60 cm long. It can hold up to 126ℓ of water
when full. If Amy fills ⅔ of the tank as shown, find the height of the water in
centimeters. (1ℓ=1000 cubic cm)

Volume of tank when filled by Amy = (2/3)* 126 liter

= 2*42 = 84 liter

= 84*1000 ml {as 1 liter = 1000 ml}

= 84000 ml

now volume of tank = length*width*height

=> 60*50*H = 84000 {1ml = 1 cm³}

=> H = 84000/(60*50)

=> H = 84000/3000

=> H = 28 cm.
