Length = l = 22 cm
Breadth = b = 16 cm
Dimensions of the cylinder made by
foil ,
Let radius of the base = r cm
Circumferenceof the cylinder base =
length of the rectangle
2πr = 22
r = 22/2π
r = ( 22 × 7 ) / ( 2 × 22 )
r = 7/2 cm
Height of the cylinder = breadth of
the rectangle
h = 16 cm
Therefore ,
Volume of the cylinder = π r² h
V = 22/7 × 7/2 × 7/2 × 16
V = ( 22 × 7 × 4 )
V = 616 cm³
