A rectangular tin sheet has the sides 1.2
80 cm. How many circles of radius 7 cm
be cut out from the sheet
how much tin sheet will be left over?​

Answer:

length of rectangular tin sheet = 1.2 m = 120 cm

breadth of rectangular tin sheet = 80 cm

area of rectangular tin sheet = length × breadth

= 120 × 80

= 9600 cm²

radius of circle = 7 cm

area of circle = πr²

=22/7 ×7 ×7

=22×7

=154 sqcm

no of circle can be cut from the rectangular tin sheet

= area of rectangular tin sheet / area of circle

= 9600 / 154

= 62.33

62 circular sheet can be cut from the rectangular tin sheet

area of 62 circular sheet = 62 × 154 = 9548 cm²

remaining sheet

9600 - 9548 = 52 cm²
