A rectangular tin sheet has the sides 1.2m by 80 cm how many circles of radius 7 cm can be cut out from the sheet how much time sheet will be left over ​

area of rectangular tin sheet = length × breadth

= 120 × 80

= 9600 cm²

radius of circle = 7 cm

area of circle = πr²

  = \frac{22}{7}  \times 7 \times 7 \\  = 22 \times 7 \\  = 154 \:  {cm}^{2}

no of circle can be cut from the rectangular tin sheet

= area of rectangular tin sheet / area of circle

= 9600 / 154

= 62.33

62 circular sheet can be cut from the rectangular tin sheet

area of 62 circular sheet = 62 × 154 = 9548 cm²

remaining sheet

9600 - 9548 = 52 cm²
