GIVEN:-

  • \rm{Length\:of\:Sheet = 12cm}

  • \rm{Breadth\:of\:Sheet = 5cm}

TO FIND:-

  • The Volume of Cylinder.

FORMULAE USED

  • {\huge{\boxed{\rm{ \pi r^2h}}}}

CONCEPT USED

  • When the sheet is rolled then the breadth of the Rectangular sheet becomes the height of the Cylinder and length become the Circumference of the base of Cylinder.

Therefore,

\implies\rm{ 2\pi r = 12}

\implies\rm{ 2\times{\dfrac{22}{7}}\times{r} = 12}

\implies\rm{\dfrac{44r}{7} = 12}

\implies\rm{ 44r = 84}

\implies\rm{ r = \dfrac{84}{44}}

\implies\rm{ r = \dfrac{21}{11}}

Now,

\implies\rm{Volume\:of\:Cylinder= \pi r^2h}

\implies\rm{Volume\:of\:cylinder = \dfrac{22}{7}\times{\dfrac{21}{11}}\times{\dfrac{21}{11}}\times{5}}

\implies\rm{ Volume\:of\:cylinder =22\times{\dfrac{3}{11}}\times{\dfrac{21}{11}}\times{5}}

\implies\rm{Volume\:of\:cylinder = \dfrac{6930}{22}}

\implies\rm{Volume\:of\:cylinder  = 315cm^3}.

Hence, The Volume of Cylinder is 315cm³.

Given:-

Length of sheet = 12cm

Breadth of sheet = 5cm

To Find:-

Volume of cylinder.

Formulae Used:-

πr²h

Concept used:-

When the sheet is rolled then the breadth of the Rectangular sheet becomes the height of the Cylinder and length become the Circumference of the base of Cylinder.

Therefore,

----> 2πr = 12

----> 2× 22/7×r = 12

----> 44r/7 = 12

----> 44r = 84

----> r = 84/44

----> r = 21/11

Now,

----> Volume of cylinder = πr²h

= 22/7× 21/11× 5

= 22× 3/11 × 21/11 × 5

= 6930/22

= 315cm³

Hence, The Volume of Cylinder is 315cm³.
