Distance travelled will be 30+40=70m

Displacemant will be

40^2+30^2

=1600+900

=2500m.

Therefore,displacement

=root2500m.

=50m

A rectangular track is 40 m long and 30 m broad. A man starts walking from one corner of the track and reaches the opposite corner. Find the distance travelled and the magnitude of displacement.

\pink{\bold{\boxed{ANSWER}}}

Distance traveled = ( 40 + 30 ) m

= 70 m

Displacement = 40² + 30²

= 1600 + 900

= 2500

= \sqrt{2500}

= 50 m
