A rectangular vessel 25cm×8cm×11cm is full of water. If the water is poured into an empty cylindrical vessel of radius 10cm, find the height of water in the cylindrical vessel

Answer:

for cuboid: l= 25cm, b= 8cm , h= 11cm           for cylinder; r= 10cm

now, ATQ

vol of cuboid     =      vol of cylinder  

l*b*h                  =      pi*r^2h

25*8*11            = 22/7 * 10 * 10*h

(25*8*11*7)/22*10*10  = h

==> 7cm = h

therefore height of water is 7cm in the cylindrical vessel
