Step-by-step explanation:

Height of reservoir = 1.125 m and surface are of reservoir = 59 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Dimensions of Base of Measure of Reservoir = 8 m × 4 m

           Capacity or volume of reservoir = 36000 l

To find: height and surface are of Reservoir

Length of Reservoir = 8 m

Width of reservoir = 4 m

Capacity of reservoir = 36000 l =\,\frac{36000}{1000}=100036000 = 36 m³

Volume of reservoir = volume of cuboid

36 = length × width × height

36 = 8 × 4 × heigth

36 = 32 × height

height =\,\frac{36}{32}=3236

height = 1.125 m

Surface are of reservoir = Curved surface are of cuboid + area of                                           rectangle

                                       = 2 × heigth × (length + width) + length × width

                                       = 2 × 1.125 ( 8 + 4 ) + 8 × 4

                                       = 2.25 × 12 + 32

                                       = 27 + 32

                                       = 59 m²

Therefore, height of reservoir = 1.125 m and surface are of reservoir = 59 m²
