a rectangular water tank is 90cm wide and 40cm deep . if it can contain 576 litres of water , what is its length

here's ur answer...

we know that 1litre³=1000cm³

therefore 576litre³=576×1000

=576000cm³

given breadth of the tank=90cm and height is 40cm

volume of the tank=576000cm³

l×b×h=576000cm³

l×90×40=576000cm³

l×3600=576000cm³

l=576000/3600

l=160

hence, length of the water tank is 160cm.

verification:-

volume of the tank=l×b×h

=160×90×40

=14400×40

=576000cm³

hence verified.
