A rectangular water tank is 90cm wide and 40cm deep. If it contains 576litres of water,what is its length​

Breadth and depth of tank are 90 cm and 40 cm i.e. 0.90 m and 0.40 m respectively.

Suppose the length of water tank is l.

Then volume of tank = 0.90×0.40×l

And given volume of tank = 576 litres = 0.57600 m3, so we have;

0.90×0.40×l = 0.57600⇒l = 0.576000.90×0.40 = 1.6 m

So length of the tank is 1.6 m.
