Answer:

We have,

u = -25cm (object distance)

f = - 10cm. (focal length)

v = ? (image distance)

From the mirror formula,

1/u + 1/v = 1/f

Or, 1/-25 + 1/v = 1/-10

Or, 1/v = 1/-10 + 1/25

Or, 1/v = (-5+2)/50

Or, 1/v = -3/50

Or, v = -50/3

= 16.66 cm

so the image is formed at a distance of 16.66 cm behind the mirror (positive value shows that image is formed behind the mirror).

Answer:

4/3=1.333

Explanation:

u=-25cm

f=-10cm

1/f=1/v+1/u

from this v=-50/3cm

linear magnification,m=-2/3

area of image=m²(area of object)

=(2/3)²(2)(1.5)

=4/3=1.33 cm²
