A rectangular wooden piece weighs 25 N. If it is placed in such a way that its
25cm length and 10 cm width are in contact with a surface, what will be the pressure

area => 25cm×10cm

= 250cm²

now, we know that

weight=mg(mass × gravitational acceleration)

and also F(force)=mass× acceleration

so the magnitude of force is given as 25 N or 25 kg m/ s²

as the area in cm² so covert force into kg cm / s²

25 kg 100 cm / s²

= 2500 kg cm /s²

now,

pressure = (2500kg cm/ s²)/(250 cm²)

= 10 kg / cm s²
