A reddish brown vessel developed a green coloured solid P when kept open in air for long time. Name the process. When reacted with dil. H2So4 forms a green coloured vessel along with brisk effervescence because of colourless odourless gas R. P decomposes to form black coloured oxide Q of a reddish brown metal along with gas R. Identify P, Q and R.

P is basic copper carbonate CuCO3. copper acquires this layer due to oxidation. the process is called corrosion

when reacts with h2so4---

CuCO3 + H2SO4 = CuSO4 + h2o + co2

the co2 gas indicates brisk effervescence  so R is carbon dioxide!

p decomposes when heated to form_--

CuCO3--CuO + Co2

so CuO is Q which is black in colour and R is CO2 ( we proved it earlier also)

p is copper carbonate

q is copper oxide

r is carbon dioxide

pls mark as brainliest and hope it works
