Here is your solution

Let price before reduction, is p

Price after reduction = P(1-20%) = 0.8p

Total no. of mangoes for Rs 15 at original price =15/p

Tital no. of mangoes for Rs 15 at reduced price = 15/.8p

A/q

=> 15/.8p - 15/p = 12

=> P = 0.3125

Price of 16 mangoes = 16 * 0.3125

=> Rs 5

Therefore,

The price of 16 mangoes was Rs 5
