Answer:

8/kg

6.4/kg

Step-by-step explanation:

Solving it using ratio method

the price will be inversely proportional to the consumption i.e when the price decrease consumption increase

so here let initial cost be 100 and it decreased to 80

so ratio of price is 100:80

consumption will be in inverse ratio 80:100

on simplifying the ratio becomes 4:5

so 1 units = 5

so the initial consumption was 4*5= 20 kg and now it increased to 5*5= 25 kg

so price per kg before reduction= 160/20= 8/kg

cost of sugar after reduction =     160/25 = 6.4/kg

Answer:

200,discount per kg = 40

Step-by-step explanation:

discount%=20

sales price=160

actual price be x

then 80/100 × x =160

4/5×x=160

x=160×5/4

x=200

5kg are more than reduced price per kg = 200/5=40kf
