It means,

25% = 3 Kg. So,

Initially, total Sugar = 3*4 = 12Kg. Thus,

Original price of the sugar was,

120/12 = Rs. 10 per kg.

Dear Student,

● Answer -

Original price of sugar per kg = Rs. 10

◆ Explanation -

Let x be original price of sugar per kg and y be original units of sugar bought.

Initially (before reducing price -

x × y = 120

y = 120/x ...(1)

Later (after reducing price),

(x×80/100) (y+3) = 120

4x/5 (y+3) = 120

x (y+3) = 120×5/4

x (y+3) = 150

xy + 3x = 150 ...(2)

Substitute y = 120/x in (2),

x×120/x + 3x = 150

120 + 3x = 150

3x = 150 - 120

3x = 30

x = 30 / 3

x = 10 Rs

Hence, original price per kg is Rs. 10.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you..
