Step-by-step explanation:

Let the original price per kg of sugar be Rs. x

Then the reduced price per kg = Rs.54x

Quantity of sugar that can be bought for Rs.160 originally Rs.x160

Quantity of sugar that can be bought for Rs.160 with reduced price =Rs.4x/5160=160×4x5

Given 160×4x5=x160+25 ⇒x200−x160=25⇒x40=25⇒x=16

∴ Original price per kg = Rs. 16
