Indirect speech - It is an indirect narration. The words which are spoken by the speaker, without quoting the exact words and making necessary changes to it is called indirect speech.

Rules for changing direct speech into indirect speech -

1. When the verb of direct speech is in present or in future tense, the tense of reported speech will not Chane.

2. Remember, when you're changing direct speech into indirect speech remove the comma and inverted commas.

3. "Ago" changes into "before".

4. "Just" changes into "then".

5. "Last night" changes into "the previous night".

6. "Tomorrow" changes into "the next day".
