A refrigerator us available for Rs. 14,500, including sales tax. If the rate of the sales tax is 10%, find the price of the refrigerator without tax.

hey buddy here is your answer

let refrigerator price without sales tax is = X

after sales tax it will be = X + 10 % ....

So X = 100% (price without tax )

with tax it is = 100+10= 110%

if 110 % value is = 14500

so 1% value is = 14500/110

And 100 value will be = 14500/110*100 = 13181.818 RS ( answer )

we can prove it now

Cost of refrigerator without sales tax = 13181.818

sales tax = 10% of cost 13181.818

final price after sales tax = 13181.818 + 1318.181= 14500 RS . .
hence proved
