Answer:

The cost price of refrigerator is Rs 16250 .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The selling price of refrigerator = Rs x

Let The cost price = Rs y

The gain percentage = 10%

Or, gain % = \dfrac{selling price - cost price}{cost price}

or, 10% = \dfrac{x-y}{y}

Or, \dfrac{10}{100} = \dfrac{x}{y} - 1

or, \dfrac{x}{y} = \dfrac{10}{100} + 1

or, \dfrac{x}{y} = \dfrac{110}{100}            .....1

i.e  x = 1.1 y

Again

If selling price is rs 325 omre

i.e Selling price = Rs (x + 325)

Cost price = Rs y

Gain % = 12 %

i.e gain % = \dfrac{selling price - cost price}{cost price}

Or, 12 % = \dfrac{x + 325 - y}{y}.

or, \dfrac{12}{100} = \dfrac{x+325}{y} - 1

or, \dfrac{x+325}{y} = \dfrac{112}{100}

Or, \dfrac{x}{y} + \dfrac{325}{y} = 1.12

Or, 1.1 + \dfrac{325}{y} = 1.12                   ......(from eq1 )

or, \dfrac{325}{y} = 1.12 - 1.1

Or, \dfrac{325}{y} = 0.02

∴  y = \dfrac{325}{0.02}

i.e  y = Rs 16250

So, The cost price of refrigerator = y = Rs 16250

Hence, The cost price of refrigerator is Rs 16250 . Answer
