Given : A regular polygon with a minimum number of sides is constructed such that each internal angle is an obtuse angle.

To Find : How many diagonals would this polygon have?

a. 14 b. 9 C. 5 d. 2

Solution:

Square is a  A regular polygon with  4 sides with each internal angle  = 90°

Hence Regular pentagon will be  with 5 sides with each internal angle > 90° hence Obtuse angles

so n = 5

Number of diagonals  = n(n - 3) /2

= 5 ( 5 - 3) /2

= 5

There will be 5 diagonals
