Given:-

  • Length of Cuboid = 10m

  • Breadth of Cuboid = 8.5m

  • Height of Cuboid = 7.5m

To Find:-

  • Volume of water in the reservoir in kilolitres and litres.

  • if one litre of water weight one kilogram , find the weight of water in the reservoir , in tonnes and kilogram?

Formulae used:-

  • Volume of Cuboid = L × B × H

  • 1000cm³ = 1 litre

  • 1000kg = 1tonnes

Now,

→ Volume of water = L × B × H

→ Volume of water = 10 × 8.5 × 7.5

→ Volume of water = 637.5m³

Hence, The Volume of water in reservoir is 637.5m³

As we know,

→ 1000cm³ = 1litre

→ 100cm³ = 1m³

→ 637.5m³ = 63750cm³

→ 63750cm³ → 63.75L

Again,

→ 1 kl = 1000l

→ 63.75 = 0.06375l

So, The Volume of water in litre and kl is 63.75 and 0.06375 respectively.

Given:

  • Length l = 10m
  • Breadth b = 8.5m
  • Height h = 7.5m
  • 1L of water = 1kg

To find:

  • Volume of water in litres and kilolitres
  • Weight of water in the reservoir in tonnes and kilograms

Method:

Reservoir is in the shape of cuboid

Volume of cuboid = l × b × h

Volume = 10 × 8.5 × 7.5

Volume = 637.5 m³

Now, for finding the volume of water in litres,

1m³ = 1000 Litres

637.5 m³ = 637.5 × 1000 = 637500 Litres

1000 L = 1 Kilolitre

637500 L = 637500 ÷ 1000 = 637.5 Kilolitres

1 Litre = 1 Kilogram

637500 Litre = 637500 Kilograms

1000 Litre = 1 tonne

637500 Litres = 637500 ÷ 1000 = 637.5 tonnes

Therefore,

Volume = 637.5 m³ = 637500 L = 637.5 Kilolitres = 637500 kg = 637.5 tonnes
