a resistance has a resistance of 176ohms .how many of these resistance should be connected in parallel so that their combination draws a current of 5ampers from a 220 volt supply line ?

Therefore,
Resistance = 220/5 = 44 ohms

Now
1/Resistance = 1/R1+1/R2+....+1/Rn
Now,

1/44 = 1/176+1/176+....

1/44 = n/176
n = 176/44
n = 4 resistors having resistance each of 176 ohms.
