Hey!!!!
Good Afternoon
__________
We have,
R1 = 40 ohm
R2 = 60 ohm
All arranged in series
V = 220 V
t = 30 sec
Total Resistance = R1 + R2 (series)
=> Total Resistance (R) = 100 ohm
By Joule's Law of Heating
H = I²Rt ------(1)
By Ohm's Law
=> V = I x R
=> I = V/R
=> I = 220/100
=> I = 2.2 A
Using I in (1)
=> H = (2.2)²(100)(30)
=> H = (4.84)(100)(30)
=> H = 484(3)
=> H = 1452 J
Thus Heat generated in 30 seconds will be 1452 J

Hope this helps ✌️
