since resistances are in series. the net resistance will be sum of the resistances.

hence, net resistance R = 6+4 = 10 ohm

we know that V=IR

Hence, current I=V/R

= 20/10

= 2 ampere

voltage drop across 6 ohm resistance = 6*2= 12 V

voltage drop across 4 ohm resistance =4*2=8 V
