The current when voltage is doubles.amd halved will be doubled and halved.

Given - Voltage

Find - Current

Solution - Current, voltage and resistance are related to each other by the formula -

Voltage = Current × Resistance

Now, using this relation to calculate the effect on current.

Let \: V_{1}, V_{2}, I_{1}, I_{2} be the initial and final voltage and initial and final current.

The relation between voltage and current will be -

 \frac{V_{1} }{I_{1} }  = \frac{V_{2} }{I_{2} }

When voltage is doubled -

 \frac{V_{1} }{I_{1} }  = \frac{2V_{1} }{I_{2} }

Cancelling voltage as it is common on both sides

 I_{2} = 2I_{1}

When voltage is halved -

 \frac{V_{1} }{I_{1} }  = \frac{ \frac{1}{2} V_{1} }{I_{2} }

Cancelling the voltage as it is common on both sides

 I_{2} =  \frac{1}{2} I_{1}

Hence, double or half the voltage will generate double and half current.
